Throughout history personalized jewelry was all the fashion. A lady would wear and show off her latest fantasy to show off her life. This antique brooch is an exquisitely crafted miniature page in ones life. Circa 1900 this gem was crafted in yellow and white gold, diamonds, enamel, and carved moss agate brooch. The center panel with a man and woman traveling in a now antique convertible race car, similar to a Rolls Royce, Bentley, Bugatti or Alfa Romeo. Surrounding the blue enamel frame are ribbons of rose cut diamonds. Approximately 2 1/8" wide x 1 3/4" high. Unmarked. Possibly English or French. The quality of this piece is on par with the masters such as Tiffany, Cartier, Faberge, or any of the fine big jewelry houses of the late 19th/early 20th century.
