Rarely do most tomb artifacts shine above others in style and complexity. Finding white translucent dragon pendant is exceptional. Our dragon design pendant or Bi Disk is most unusual. The color is pure white and translucent. Creating an object of this complexity is difficult. Realistically carved as a thin disk and pierced would take many months to accomplish. The raw material being expensive. The patron for this type artifact would have been rather wealthy. The Bi disk is a symbol of Heaven and would have been placed on its torso, above the waist. Holding in your hand you might think it is a piece of silk. 3 1/2" diameter x 1/8" deep. Han Dynasty.
