The Russian Steel Towel Warmer is exquisitely crafted with extremely fine detail by the most experienced of artisans and very likely to have been made by the Tula Imperial Workshops. The extremely rare and incredibly fine cut steel is beautifully decorated with finely chiseled gilt ram heads and gilt hoof feet. Traditionally, hot coals go in the basket underneath, allowing heat to rise up to the towels. A true symbol of great wealth. Designed in the Louis XVI tradition. Height: 32” Width: 10 1/2” 19th century.
