There Are Two Rare Features With Hidden Compartments.
With Original Lock, Which Is Dislodged. Silk Lined Interior. Brass Mounts. Approximately 13 7/8” Wide x 9 1/2” High x 6 1/4” Deep.
Open And Closes Properly.
These Type Strongboxes Were Usually Used For Storing Important Documents, Coins, Jewelry, Etc.
Circa 17th/18th Century. Wear Commensurate With Age.
